Video: A Behind-The-Scenes Check out To A Brazilian Samba School

You really don't have to be in Brazil this March 4th to have your extremely personal Carnaval encounter. The samba schools that compete for Carnaval honors in São Paulo hold open rehearsals in the months primary up to the big evening. For vacationers it is a after-in-a-lifetime possibility for an up-close encounter most folks only see from the stands.

And if you are going to be in town for Carnaval, it is a possibility to purchase a costume and join the parade. In the video above, I spent an evening with the Perola Negra Samba School from São Paulo’s Villa Madalena community. There are a lot of samba schools all more than São Paulo getting ready for Carnaval, and you can check out out their routine and and join in the fun every night of the week — that is, if you have acquired the energy to continue to keep up.
